We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Operative to join our transport and logistics operation based in Ballybofey, County Donegal. This role would suit a reliable, safety‑focused individual who can work effectively in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive, handle and dispatch import and export cargo from vehicles and warehouse facilities in a safe and efficient manner
- Inspect cargo condition and complete all required documentation, reporting any damage or discrepancies
- Carry out visual inspections of forklifts and other mechanical handling equipment and report any faults promptly
- Assess vehicles prior to loading to ensure they are safe and fit for purpose
- Maintain a clean, safe and orderly working environment in line with health and safety standards
- Accurately use warehouse computer systems
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Demonstrate flexibility in relation to shift patterns, including weekend work where required
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
- Valid and in‑date forklift licence
- Manual handling certification
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work on own initiative and meet tight deadlines
- Strong awareness of health and safety and safe working practices
Desirable (but not essential)
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Experience handling import/export cargo
- Familiarity with warehouse management or inventory systems
