Role Title: Senior HR Specialist

Primary Purpose of the Role
This role manages day-to-day HR operations across three sites in Limerick. The Senior HR Specialist takes ownership of the unionised group and all personnel within BS&B Safety Systems, BS&B FlameSaf, Cadmin Ltd, BS&B Innovations Ltd, and the wider EMEA region. As the main contact for ER and IR, the candidate handles full-cycle recruitment for office and production roles and assists with global HR projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Employee & Industrial Relations (ER / IR)
- Union Relations: Lead day-to-day industrial relations and maintain productive partnerships with union representatives on the production floor.
- Dispute Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for complex ER and IR cases, providing expert counsel and conflict resolution.
- Policy Management: Continuously update, modernise, and communicate HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and cultural alignment.
- Legal Counsel: Partner with the COO to manage employment law matters and mitigate legal risks.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the full lifecycle recruitment for mid-to-senior level roles (Finance, Sales, Engineering, Operations, IT) across EMEA and global sites as requested.
- Talent Sourcing: Optimise corporate recruitment platforms, including LinkedIn Recruiter and Indeed.
- Assessment & Selection: Administer and analyse psychometric testing, generate candidate insights, and deliver data-driven hiring recommendations.
- Onboarding Programmes: Partner with hiring managers to design and execute robust induction and training pathways for new office-based professionals.
HR Systems & Analytics
- HRIS Data Integrity: Oversee data governance and system accuracy within the central HR Information System (OneAdvanced).
- Compliance: Ensure all system inputs and HR processes adhere strictly to company procedures and data protection regulations.
- Reporting: Generate and analyse regular workforce reports and HR metrics to support decision-making.
Payroll Administration & Support
- Cross-Functional Cover: Complete cross-training to provide seamless backup and execution support for all company payrolls.
- Leave Management: End-to-end management of statutory and company leaves, including Parent’s, Parental, Maternity, and Paternity leave requests.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare regular payroll reports and assist with year-end reconciliations.
Training & Talent Development
- Induction Design: Elevate the staff onboarding experience by creating and rolling out new induction frameworks.
- Educational Sponsorship: Administer the group's Further Education Sponsorship Programme.
- Leadership Growth: Support and facilitate management and career development pathways across the organisation.
Education & Experience
- Experience: 3–5 years of progressive HR experience in a Generalist or Specialist role.
- Qualification: Third-level degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline (CIPD qualification highly desirable).
- International Talent: Proven track record in mid-to-senior international recruitment across multiple business functions.
- Payroll Literacy: Strong foundational knowledge and practical understanding of payroll processes.
Preferred / Desirable Criteria
- Sector Experience: Prior HR experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Union Exposure: Direct experience managing ER and IR matters within a unionised workforce.
- People Management: Prior people management/supervisory experience
Pay: €50,000.00-€60,000.00 per year
