Food Preparation & Deli Duties
- Assemble Menu Items: Assist in preparing and assembling deli items like sandwiches, salads, and hot foods according to store recipes.
- Stock Replenishment: Keep the deli display cases full, rotated, and visually appealing throughout the day.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly, prompt assistance to customers at the deli counter when required.
Kitchen Porter & Hygiene Duties
- Dishwashing: Operate commercial dishwashers and hand-wash large cooking pots, pans, and utensils to ensure a constant supply of clean wares.
- Sanitation: Deep-clean deli and kitchen work surfaces, walls, and equipment (ovens, slicers) to maintain HACCP compliance.
- Waste Management: Safely empty bins, separate recycling, and dispose of food waste at designated stations. [1, 2]
General Operations
- Deliveries: Assist in unloading, checking, and storing incoming food and supply deliveries in freezers, fridges, and dry storage.
- Stock Rotation: Practice the "First In, First Out" (FIFO) method to minimise food waste and spoilage.

Typical Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in a busy food prep, deli, or kitchen environment is preferred, though entry-level training is often provided.
