Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 11:00am – 5:00pm (45-minute break)
- Friday: 11:00am – 6:00pm (1-hour break)
We are looking for a reliable, organised, and enthusiastic Cook & Cleaner to join our friendly childcare team. This is a varied role that combines preparing and serving meals for children with maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the setting.
The cooking aspect of the role is straightforward and fully supported. We use high-quality frozen meals supplied by Early Days Foods, so there is no requirement for extensive food preparation such as chopping vegetables or cooking meals from scratch. Meals are simply defrosted overnight and heated according to provided guidelines.
While meals are cooking, you will also carry out cleaning duties throughout the childcare setting, helping to ensure a clean, hygienic, and well-maintained environment.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Duties
- Prepare and serve daily meals for the children.
- Follow the weekly menu, ensuring all special dietary requirements are met.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
- Store food safely and correctly.
- Monitor food supplies and place weekly orders.
- Keep simple stock records.
Cleaning Duties
- Hoover and mop hallways and common areas.
- Clean and sanitise toilets and other facilities.
- Dust and maintain a clean environment throughout the premises.
- Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies as required.
- Monitor stock levels of cleaning products and notify management when reordering is needed.
- Maintain excellent hygiene standards across the childcare setting.

Essential Requirement
