We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join our team in Co. Wicklow.
Responsibilities:
Liaise with internal departments including planning, design, commercial, construction, and HSQE teams to support project delivery.
Coordinate with external stakeholders such as local authorities, utility providers, and statutory bodies.
Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and project-specific documentation.
Develop and support construction programmes and project schedules.
Assist in traffic management planning and road opening licence applications.
Carry out setting out, surveying, and levelling in accordance with drawings and specifications.
Ensure accurate site records including site diaries, as-built drawings, and technical reports.
Monitor site activities, including subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Support project budgeting, materials requisitions, and procurement processes.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSQE) standards at all times.
Identify and report any site risks, unsafe conditions, or technical issues to management.
Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure full understanding of scope.
Coordinate and resolve technical issues with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Monitor progress against programme and report delays or risks to the Project Manager.
Ensure all works comply with company procedures, inspection plans, and quality standards.
Take responsibility for site operations in the absence of senior management when required.
Requirements:
Degree or Master’s in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
4–5 years’ experience as a Site Engineer, preferably in Irish construction projects.
Strong setting out and surveying experience.
Experience in water or wastewater projects is an advantage.
Membership of a relevant professional institution is desirable.
Strong understanding of construction methods, contracts, and site procedures.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Full clean Irish/EU driving licence.
Eligible to work in Ireland (Stamp 4, Critical Skills Permit, or equivalent).
Pay: €48,000.00-€68,000.00 per year
