The Role
We are seeking a motivated and commercially focused Technical Sales Executive to join our team.
This is a varied, customer-facing position combining office-based sales and technical support with regular visits to customers, construction sites and prospective projects.
A key focus of the role will be growing Roundtower Lime’s presence in the Dublin market. The successful candidate will spend part of their time developing new business and supporting existing customers in Dublin, while also working from our Innishannon office and covering other areas as required.
The role would suit someone who enjoys building relationships, developing new business and helping customers select appropriate materials for conservation, restoration and sustainable construction projects.
Previous experience in the construction or building materials industry would be an advantage, but it is not essential, as full product training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell Roundtower Lime’s range of conservation, restoration and sustainable building materials.
- Develop new business opportunities, with a particular focus on expanding the company’s presence in Dublin.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders’ merchants, conservation professionals and private clients.
- Visit customers, construction sites and prospective projects.
- Respond to telephone, email and in-person sales enquiries.
- Provide customers with practical product information and initial technical guidance.
- Prepare quotations and follow up on enquiries and sales opportunities.
- Recommend suitable products and systems based on customers’ project requirements.
- Deliver product presentations, demonstrations and introductory training where required.
- Maintain accurate customer, project and sales records.
- Work closely with Roundtower Lime’s technical, warehouse and management teams to provide a high standard of customer service.
- Monitor market activity and identify new opportunities within the conservation and sustainable construction sectors.
- Represent Roundtower Lime at trade events, exhibitions and industry meetings when required.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be confident, organised and comfortable communicating with a wide range of customers and construction professionals.
They should have a professional and customer-focused approach, strong communication skills and an interest in traditional buildings, conservation and sustainable construction.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently, travelling regularly and developing new customer relationships. A full, clean driving licence is required.
