We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Executive to join our dynamic team in Mullingar. Customers reach out to us directly through our website with golf tour enquiries, your role is to take those warm leads from our CRM and convert them into bookings through proactive, confident phone-based selling. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for golf, travel, and sales to join a leading company in the luxury golf tourism sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Development: Identify and target potential clients, including golf enthusiasts, corporate groups, golf clubs, and travel agents interested in luxury golf tours to Ireland.
- Lead Conversion: Work warm enquiries logged in our CRM, calling customers who have already shown interest via our website to convert them into confirmed bookings.
- Customer Engagement: Respond to inbound inquiries and provide expert guidance on golf tour packages, including details about courses, accommodations, transport options, and cultural experiences.
- Consultative Selling: Understand customer needs and customize golf tour packages to match their preferences, offering tailored itineraries and value-added experiences.
- Sales Process Management: From initial inquiry to booking confirmation, manage the full sales cycle. This includes issuing quotes, negotiating pricing, finalizing tour details, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and partners, ensuring repeat business and referrals.
- Sales Targets: Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets. Track sales metrics and performance to ensure consistent growth.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and Ireland’s golf destinations to identify new sales opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the operations and marketing teams to ensure smooth delivery of services and effective promotion of tours.
Qualifications and Experience
- Sales experience preferred, ideally within travel, tourism, or golf.
- Comfortable and motivated working in a commission-driven, phone-based sales environment — this is a high-conversation-volume role.
- Strong interest in golf, with a solid understanding of the game and Ireland's top courses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly over the phone.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven.
- Previous experience with CRM systems and sales tracking tools is a plus.
- Fluency in English (additional languages a plus).
- Reliable ability to commute to our Mullingar office five days a week : own transport is not required, but you must have a dependable route in (own vehicle or public transport).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience selling luxury travel or bespoke travel experiences.
- Knowledge of Ireland's golf courses, resorts, and popular golfing destinations.
- Strong network within the golf or tourism industry.
