About Kerry Padel Centre
Kerry Padel Centre is Kerry’s newest and only padel tennis facility. We are looking to hire a Front of House staff member to work a range of day and evening shifts on a 30 hour per week basis.
Please note that the shifts will be both midweek and weekend shifts so applicants should only apply if they have availability for both. Additional hours may be required during busy periods and for holiday cover.
Position Overview
The Front of House team are the first point of contact for Kerry Padel Centre and are key to providing excellent customer service, and assisting customers with court set up, bookings and questions. The candidate must be enthusiastic, punctual, outgoing and thorough with an attention to detail and have a passion for sport. This position does involve weekends, with a combination of morning, daytime and evening shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening and closing of the facility
- Provide a warm welcome to all patrons, assisting with check in and queries
- Answering emails and phone calls in a timely and professional manner
- Managing individual and group bookings through website, mobile applications and walk-ins
- Maintain a spotless and pleasant environment at all times by helping with cleaning of the facility during shifts, including courts and changing facilities
- Assist with marketing activities when required
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety requirements
Skills & Qualifications
- Front of house experience in a gym or leisure facility is preferred
- Outgoing, friendly, and enjoy interacting with people.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour.
- Experience in payment handling
- Strong administration and computer skills
- Be meticulous and take pride in the facilities look and cleanliness.
- A personal interest or background in sports, fitness, or community engagement is a strong plus
- A personal interest or background in content creation is a strong plus
Additional Requirements
- Candidates will need to successfully pass Garda Vetting as part of the hiring process
- Must be flexible with hours. Shifts will include Saturdays & Sundays and also evenings until 11pm
- Manual Handling, Health & Safety, First Aid, Fire Warden
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: €14.15 per hour
Expected hours: 25-30 per week, with the opportunity for more
