Jeremiah Grant Bar & Restaurant is looking for an experienced, passionate, and hands-on Assistant Bar Manager to join our management team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced gastro pub environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer experiences. Working alongside the Bar Manager, you will help lead the front-of-house team, maintain high operational standards, and ensure every guest receives outstanding service.
About You
You will have:
- 3–5 years' experience in a busy bar or gastro pub environment.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Excellent cocktail-making skills and knowledge of current drink trends.
- Barista experience with the ability to produce consistently high-quality coffees.
- A passion for customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure while maintaining exceptional service standards.
- A positive, hands-on attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Bar Manager with the day-to-day operation of the bar.
- Lead, motivate and develop the front-of-house team.
- Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered at all times.
- Prepare and serve premium cocktails, wines, beers, spirits and specialty coffees.
- Maintain consistently high presentation, cleanliness and service standards.
- Assist with staff training, inductions and performance management.
- Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering and minimise wastage.
- Ensure all licensing, food safety and health & safety procedures are adhered to.
- Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve issues promptly.
- Support the delivery of events, promotions and seasonal menus.
