Phlebotomist
Part-Time/Flexible , Fixed Term Contract

The laboratory including Phlebotomy services is fully accredited by the Irish National accreditation Board, Reg no 153MT and the Hospital is JCI accredited.
Applications are invited for the above position from suitably qualified and experienced candidates and will be paid on the first point of the scale. Applications from Medical students seeking work experience welcome.
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements at a minimum:

Hold a Phlebotomy Qualification that is at a QQI level 6 or higher
OR
-
Hold a certificate in Phlebotomy from DIT/DCU National Ambulance Service College or equivalent Phlebotomy qualification
OR
-
Be registered in the General Division of the live register maintained by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland

Have some experience in phlebotomy

Have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.

Be flexible and capable of working independently and as part of a team

Demonstrate a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and methodical work habits.

The applicant may be required to participate in a Saturday morning Phlebotomy rota when adequately trained to do so.
