My Client is looking for an eccentric and well read candidate in retail environment. As the position requires the management of multiple stations under one department. An ideal candidate would motivate himself and the team to keep the department up to the mark. From working alongside the store managers to keep up with store regulations to dealing with customer and staff inquiries everything will fall under their responsibility list. If you're an ambitious individual who loves making an impact and looking for a new challenge this is the right path for you.

Requirements for this Senior Shop Floor Manager
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to handle customers in a fast-paced environment.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain excellent store standards.
- Good retail business acumen, including experience in driving sales, managing P&L, and controlling costs.
- Passionate about food product knowledge and especially how to maintain them throughout the day
- Extensive grocery or fresh food experience in retail, supermarkets, and convenience stores ideally.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings and evenings.
Key Responsibilities for this Senior Shop Floor Manager
- Oversee day-to-day shop floor operations, ensuring the store runs efficiently and maintains the highest standards, running promotional cycles smoothly, and addressing availability and stock storage.
- Manage supplier relationships, pricing strategies, and stock control to reduce waste and optimise efficiency.
- Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, implementing strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, increase footfall, and boost retention.
- Make sure that everything related to allergens and cross contamination is looked after every day.
- Drive sales across the Fresh Food Department ensuring that sales targets are met and exceeded through innovation, development and creativity.
- Increase product knowledge and empower the team to assist customers and provide best advice on products and understand our customer base and where to upsell.
- Ensuring your team are compliant with company policies, including uniform and presentation.
- Accountability for stock handling - meet KPIs/targets in relation to waste, shrinkage and transfers.
- Responsibility for ordering stock ensuring a balance between availability and preventing waste, especially of perishable items.
