We are seeking an organized and customer-focused Service Advisor / Garage Service Coordinator to join our busy automotive workshop.
Experience in the automotive industry is essential!
This role is the main point of contact for customers and is responsible for managing daily workshop administration, scheduling bookings, coordinating parts orders, and ensuring excellent customer service throughout the repair and servicing process.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, professional, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer inquiries.
- Schedule vehicle service, repair, and maintenance appointments.
- Welcome customers and check vehicles in and out of the workshop.
- Prepare estimates, job cards, and invoices.
- Explain repair work and service recommendations to customers.
- Order parts and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate workshop schedules and communicate with technicians.
- Update customers on the progress of repairs and maintenance work.
- Handle customer concerns and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, repairs, invoices, and customer information.
- Assist with general office and administrative duties as required.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of the service reception area.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer service, service advisor, automotive administration, or similar role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Good computer skills and experience with booking, invoicing, or workshop management systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional and customer-focused attitude.
- Experience in the automotive industry is essential.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of vehicle servicing and repairs.
