We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Coffee Roaster to join our team and lead our coffee roasting operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute roast profiles for a variety of coffee beans to ensure consistent quality and flavor
- Maintain roasting equipment and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
- Collaborate with green coffee buyers to select high-quality beans for roasting
- Conduct regular cuppings and tastings to evaluate roast profiles and make adjustments as needed
- Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations in the roasting facility
- Work with the production team to meet production goals and deadlines
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience as a professional coffee roaster
- Strong knowledge of coffee roasting techniques and equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Knowledge of green coffee sourcing and quality standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
