Keaney Medical Ltd is seeking a motivated and reliable Decontamination Team Leader to lead our morning shift within our busy decontamination department.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team to ensure the safe, efficient and compliant decontamination, testing and preparation of specialist medical equipment for healthcare providers throughout Ireland.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the morning decontamination team.
- Allocate daily workloads and monitor team performance.
- Ensure all medical equipment is decontaminated in accordance with company procedures and infection prevention and control standards.
- Operate washer-disinfectors, industrial dryers and other processing equipment.
- Inspect, test and carry out minor repairs to medical equipment where required.
- Complete all required documentation and electronic records accurately.
- Prepare equipment for distribution to healthcare facilities.
- Monitor productivity and maintain high quality standards.
- Provide training, guidance and support to team members.
- Address day-to-day operational issues and escalate concerns where necessary.
- Prepare reports and communicate effectively with the Operations Manager.
- Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures.
- Carry out other duties as required to support the operation.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Previous experience in a supervisory or Team Leader role.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and lead a team.
- Good computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Desirable
- Experience within healthcare, decontamination, sterilisation, logistics or a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control procedures.
- Experience working within a quality management system.
