Gourmet Food Parlour (GFP) is looking for a motivated, experienced and hands-on Duty Manager to join our team across Browns Brasserie and Edition Cafe within Brown Thomas Department Store, Dublin City Centre.
This is a great opportunity for a hospitality professional who enjoys leading from the floor and taking responsibility for a busy service. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Restaurant Manager, supporting the daily operation of both outlets and taking ownership of the operation during your assigned shifts.
You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service, team performance, food quality, HACCP and overall restaurant standards, while ensuring the team has the support and direction needed to deliver a smooth service.
Working within Brown Thomas also provides the opportunity to support in-store events, brand activations and client hospitality, working alongside GFP and Brown Thomas teams.

Support the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Restaurant Manager with the daily running of Browns Brasserie and Edition Cafe.

Take responsibility for the smooth running of the outlets during assigned shifts.

Lead, motivate and support the front-of-house team during service.

Assist with staff scheduling, training and team development.

Ensure excellent customer service and deal confidently with customer queries and complaints.

Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain food quality, presentation and smooth communication.

Monitor and maintain HACCP, food safety, hygiene and cleaning standards.

Assist with stock control, cash handling and daily financial procedures.

Liaise with the reservations team regarding bookings, events and key clients.

Support the delivery of in-store events and brand activations.

Communicate effectively with the management, operations and Quality Control teams.

Identify and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.

Ensure GFP standards, policies and procedures are consistently followed.

At least 1 year's experience in a Supervisor, Team Leader or Duty Manager role within hospitality.

Minimum 2 years' hospitality experience.

Strong leadership and people-management skills.

A hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.

Confident making decisions and taking ownership during service.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures.

Ability to work effectively with both front-of-house and kitchen teams.

Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT systems.

Fluent English, both spoken and written.
