Key Responsibilities of Head Baker Position
- Produce fresh breads, cakes, and bakery products to a high standard
- Bake large quantities while maintaining quality and consistency
- Support, train, and guide junior team members
- Deliver excellent customer service and handle customer queries
- Take customer orders and resolve complaints professionally
- Maintain attractive bakery displays and merchandising standards
- Ensure the bakery department operates efficiently at all times
Requirements for Head Baker Position
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a busy bakery environment
- Experience in bakery production and food preparation.
- Skilled in producing baked goods from scratch or using par-baked products
- Qualified baker is an advantage
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Creative with a flair for merchandising and product presentation
- Well organised with strong attention to detail
- Flexible, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to understand and prioritise customer needs
