As a Fibre Technician, you will support ongoing infrastructure work specialising in fibre optic splicing and certification. This is a field-based role, that requires you to know your way around high-core-count fibre. It is essential that you can thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that work is delivered to a consistently high standard. A strong working knowledge of network infrastructure, combined with a proactive and organised approach, is necessary to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities:
- Splicing of multicore fibre optic cables using Fujikura equipment

Conduct comprehensive testing and certification of fibre installations using Fluke / OTDR testers

Interpret splice schematics and fibre plans with minimal supervision

Troubleshoot faults and quality issues efficiently and accurately

Maintain clear, structured test records and documentation

Work to project deadlines without compromising on safety or workmanship

Coordinate with supervisors and clients on-site to ensure smooth handovers
Requirements:-
Solid experience delivering accurate, tidy splicing work on high-count fibre optic cables

Strong problem-solving ability under real-world site conditions

High personal standards for documentation and quality assurance

Valid driving licence and flexibility to travel within the region

Able to work independently, stay organised, and meet tight deadlines

Experience with Fujikura fusion splicers and Fluke / OTDR testers desirable

Must hold a valid and in-date Safe Pass

Must hold a valid and in-date Manual Handling Certificate
