Actuarial Manager, PIA
The successful candidate will work on the Actuarial Function team - which supports the Head of Function in delivering relevant Solvency II and DAR requirements, and works on Balance Sheet projections, ORSA, Capital Management, Reinsurance, and other actuarial support to the wider PIA business.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified actuary, with a background in Life Company financial reporting and /or actuarial function role, or similar relevant experience within a consultancy or audit firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- For technical specialists, accountable for delivering expert advice or service, using specialist knowledge and subject matter expertise

Manages conflicts that may impact delivery Challenges upwards given knowledge of delivery and awareness of complex systems and the broader picture

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Experience in a financial reporting or actuarial function or risk function role

Excellent knowledge of Solvency II, ideally including application to Unit Linked and With Profit product sets

Strong "self starter" who can also work collaboratively with other colleagues in Actuarial, Risk and Finance

Excellent analytic skills and attention to detail, with an ability to constructively challenge and identify issues and opportunities

Good verbal and written communication skills are desirable

Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and team player;

Strong IT skills; a hands-on individual who is comfortable using MS Office and a variety of modelling tools
