Description
As a Trainee Accountant, you will work closely with experienced accountants and advisors, supporting client accounts preparation, tax compliance, bookkeeping, and financial reporting activities. You will receive training and development while working towards a recognized professional qualification.
This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and looking to build a successful career in accountancy and professional services.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts for a portfolio of clients
Support bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts preparation
-Assist with personal and corporate tax compliance work -Process reconciliations including bank, control accounts, and ledgers
Maintain accurate client records and financial documentation
Liaise professionally with clients to gather information and resolve queries
Support senior team members with audits and ad hoc assignments where required
Ensure deadlines are met in line with client and regulatory requirements
Keep up to date with accounting standards, tax rules, and internal processes
Contribute positively to the wider team and office environment
Key Requirements
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related discipline preferred
Previous internship, placement, or office experience advantageous but not essential
Genuine interest in pursuing a career in accountancy
