Petworld.ie is Ireland's leading independent online pet store. We have been in the pet trade since 1993 and we ship thousands of orders every week from our warehouse here in Donegal.
The job
We are looking for a Picker and Packer to join the warehouse team in Letterkenny. You will be picking customer orders from the shelves, packing them properly and getting them out the door on time.
Day to day you will be:
- Picking orders accurately using our warehouse system
- Packing goods securely so they arrive in one piece
- Labelling parcels and getting them ready for the couriers
- Booking in deliveries and putting stock away
- Keeping your area tidy, safe and well organised
- Helping with stock counts
Hours
Monday to Thursday, 8.00am to 5.00pm. Friday, 8.00am to 4.00pm. Some additional hours may be required during peak trading periods including Black Friday and Christmas.
Be aware before you apply
This is a physical job. You will be on your feet all day, lifting and moving stock, including bags of dog food and cat litter. It is busy and it moves fast. If that suits you, you will do well here.
What we are looking for
- Someone reliable who turns up on time, every time
- Good attention to detail. Getting the right item to the right customer matters
- Able to work at pace without cutting corners
- Comfortable with lifting and manual handling
- Able to read and understand English. You will be working from picking lists, product labels and delivery addresses every day, and you need to understand health and safety instructions
- Basic computer skills. We will train you on our system
- A team player with a bit of cop on
- Warehouse, retail or stockroom experience is an advantage but not essential. Attitude matters more
