- We are currently seeking a SAC Afterschool Room Leader to join our team starting on the 27th of August 2026 at our well established Afterschool Care Service. We are looking for a team member with excellent communication, strong organisational abilities, and a true passion for working with children. They will help lead the daily operations of our afterschool service, ensuring a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for primary school children. They will help lead a small team of assistants, plan engaging recreational activities, and maintain excellent communication with other team members in management roles
Some of the responsibilities of the role will include:
- Planning and implementation of creative, varied program of age-appropriate, practical, and active recreational activities.
- Supervise & and guide our Afterschool Assistants team members to maintain a positive and professional room / outside play area environment.
- Ensure full compliance with Tusla regulations and the School Age Childcare National Quality Guidelines. To have excellent knowledge and ability to implement child protection policies in line with Children First requirements and guidelines
- Maintain accurate daily logs for child attendance, medication administration, and accident/incident reporting. Work alongside other management team members to ensure all required administration is kept up to date. To also have the ability, to take responsibility to ensure that all company policies, procedures, health and safety / risk assessments as stipulated in the Childcare Regulations are in place.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Minimum Level 6 QQI or higher preferred in Early Childhood Care and Education, Social Care. Or equivalent recognised.
- · Excellent Spoken English
- Vetting: Successful candidates must undergo mandatory Garda Vetting and provide international police clearance if applicable.
- · Two Written References: You must provide a minimum of two independent, written references. At least one reference must come from your most recent employer.
Pay: €17.50-€18.00 per hour
