The Salthill Hotel is seeking an experienced, motivated and commercially minded Deputy General Manager to join our management team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished hotel professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences, developing high-performing teams and driving operational and commercial performance.
Working closely with the Group Operations Manager, the Deputy General Manager will play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the hotel, ensuring consistently high standards across all departments while supporting the hotel's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Support the Group Operations Manager in the overall operation and strategic management of the hotel.

Lead and motivate department managers and operational teams, fostering a positive and performance-focused culture.

Ensure exceptional standards of guest service and satisfaction across all areas of the hotel.

Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant legislation.

Monitor operational performance, revenue, costs and departmental budgets.

Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency and guest experience.

Work closely with Sales, Revenue, Food & Beverage, Rooms and other departments to maximise hotel performance.

Manage guest feedback and resolve issues professionally and effectively.

Support recruitment, training, coaching and development of employees.

Maintain strong relationships with guests, corporate clients, suppliers and other stakeholders.

Ensure health, safety, security and compliance standards are maintained throughout the hotel.

Proven experience in a senior hotel management position, ideally as a Deputy General Manager, Operations Manager or similar.

Strong knowledge of hotel operations across Rooms, Food & Beverage and other key departments.

Excellent leadership, communication and people-management skills.

A strong commercial understanding and proven ability to achieve operational and financial targets.
