CICS SiloClean Ltd. is seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator, to work alongside our H&S Contractor, to support health and safety across our industrial cleaning, silo cleaning, confined-space, rope-access and commercial cleaning operations.
It is preferrable that the successful candidate will have 3 plus years’ experience, has excellent communication skills, evidence of competency and a willingness to learn about the working environment.
Main responsibilities
- Prepare and update risk assessments and method statements.
- Attend client sites to carry out safety inspections and compliance checks.
- Deliver company, site and task-specific safety inductions.
- Prepare toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Support rope-access, working-at-height and confined-space safety briefings.
- Review work practices and report safety concerns to management.
- Help maintain the company Safety Statement, policies and procedures.
- Maintain training records and the company training matrix.
- Assist with incident, accident and near-miss investigations.
- Monitor safety documentation, including equipment inspection and GA3 records.
- Help prepare standard operating procedures.
- Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 audits.
- Assist with SafeContractor compliance and client prequalification requirements.
- Liaise with management, supervisors, employees, clients and our external health and safety adviser.
- Keep up to date with relevant Irish health and safety requirements.
Qualifications and experience
The successful candidate should have:
- At least a level 7 qualification in Occupational Safety and Health, Safety Management or relevant to the Manufacturing Industry.
- A practical understanding of workplace risk assessments and safety procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence delivering briefings and speaking with employees and clients.
- Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Competence using Microsoft Word, Excel and digital reporting systems.
- A full Irish driving licence.
- The right to work in Ireland.
Training in areas such as manual handling instruction, incident investigation, working at height, confined spaces or ISO management systems would also be useful.
Working arrangements
This is not solely an office-based position. The successful candidate must be willing to travel to client sites and work occasional early mornings, evenings or weekends when site operations require safety checks.
