The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machinery, manufacturing bespoke cabinetry, while maintaining high standards of workmanship in a fast-paced workshop environment.
This is a full-time position based on a 40-hour working week.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and machining specifications.
- Edit CNC programmes for minor adjustments where required.
- Manufacture bespoke cabinetry and timber components.
- Inspect finished components to ensure quality standards are met.
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and housekeeping.
- Work efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Follow all health and safety procedures within the workshop.
- Work effectively as part of a manufacturing team
- Prepare and load raw materials into CNC machines.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to maintain production quality.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and basic machine servicing.
- Report equipment faults or defects promptly.
- Assist with forward planning of production schedules, tooling and materials.
- Monitor stock levels and notify management of material requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience operating CNC woodworking machinery.
- Cabinet making, assembly and fitting experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Availability to work the normal Saturday to Wednesday shift pattern.
Desirable
- A qualification in Cabinet Making, Carpentry, Wood Manufacturing or a related trade is desirable but not essential.
- Experience with CNC programming software, such as Alphacam, B-Solid cabinet vision (or similar), is desirable.
- Experience operating edge banders, beam saws or other woodworking machinery.
- A full, clean driver's licence is desirable but not essential.
- Manual handling and forklift certification would be an advantage.
Pay: €40,000.00-€50,000.00 per year
