Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all H&S policies are fully implemented on sites.
- Provide support & advice to colleagues, subcontractor personnel and other third parties.
- Ensure the delivery of health and safety inductions for all new employees, check all relevant training is in place and recorded on site.
- Preparation of site paperwork including Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, Inductions and Toolbox Talks. Conduct regular inspections as directed.
- Ensure all plant/equipment and lifting equipment/harness inspections are up to date in compliance with legal obligations.
- Communicate to site management/Murlock management in order to close out issues
- Carrying out formal site inspections and audits and conduct regular reviews on any corrective action identified. Promote continuous improvement.
- Deliver Toolbox talks. Consult with staff on RAMS briefings, lessons learned from audits or investigations.
- Ensure proper reporting of all accidents, incidents and near misses on site and assist with the investigation and implementation of corrective action to close out on same. Collecting and collating relevant information for inclusion in the Safety File and preparing for handover to the Client and or Management at the end of the project.
- Provide a proactive approach to problem solving and to the various aspects of day-to-day health & safety management.
Essential Requirements:
- A relevant recognised H&S qualification- (NEBOSH, IOSH, QQI Level 6 or equivalent).
- At least 2 years experience in a similar Construction Health & Safety role
- Safepass Card
- Excellent organisational skills to include report writing and records maintenance.
- Excellent reporting skills and proficiency in Word, Excel and reporting software
- Excellent interpersonal and report writing skills
- Extensive knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation
- Ability to work both independently and within a team, have strong communication skills, and have strong leadership qualities.
- Flexible to travel to sites nationwide - full driving licence required.
- Salary - €45k - €60k dependant on experience
- EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required
- Resident in Ireland
