We are currently seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join our established and growing accountancy practice in Limerick City.
This position would suit a fully qualified ACA or ACCA accountant with approximately 3 years' post-qualification experience, who is looking for the next step in their career and the opportunity to take greater responsibilities.
The successful candidate will work closely with and report directly to our Senior Accounts Portfolio Managers and Partner, with significant responsibility for managing audit and accounts assignments from planning through to completion.

Key Responsibilities
- Planning, managing and completing statutory audit, Law Society Accountant Reports and non audit assignments.
- Preparing and reviewing working papers.
- Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements.
- Ensuring audit and accounts files are completed to a high professional standard.
- Identifying and resolving accounting and audit issues.
- Reporting significant issues and assignment progress to Senior Accounts Portfolio Managers and Partners.
- Managing assignment deadlines.
- Preparing accounts and financial information for a varied portfolio of clients
- Assisting with specialist and advisory assignments as required.
- Reviewing the work of junior team members and providing guidance and support.
- Keeping up to date with developments in accounting standards, auditing standards and Irish company law.
The successful candidate ideally have:
- ACA or ACCA qualification – essential.
- Approximately 3 years' post-qualification experience.
- Strong experience in statutory audit, preferably gained within an Irish accountancy practice.
- Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements.
- A good working knowledge of Irish GAAP, IFRS and auditing standards.
- Strong technical accounting and audit knowledge.
- Experience dealing directly with clients.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and accounting software skills.
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of assignments.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues.
- A professional, commercially aware and client-focused approach.
Pay: €45,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
