Limerick City and County Council invites applications from suitably qualified persons, who wish to be considered for inclusion on a panel from which vacancies for Executive Accountant may be filled throughout the lifetime of the panel.
This is a senior position within the finance team reporting to the Financial Accountant, Director of Finance, or other officer designated by the Director General. The role requires an assertive, creative individual who is able to influence decisions and to manage and positively motivate staff. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and progressive Local Authority which provides a multiplicity of services to citizens.
What We’re Looking For:

Experience in preparation of financial and management reports through use of automated systems;

Knowledge and experience of developing and maintaining standard operation procedures;

Clear, concise report writing;

Proficiency in Financial Management Systems and Reporting;

ICT proficiency including financial data analytics;

Problem-solving ability and good judgement;

Strong communication and stakeholder management;

A proactive mindset and ability to use initiative;

Full Class B driving licence and access to a suitably insured vehicle;
