Employment Terms
This role is employed by Ardrar Ltd, which operates under separate terms and conditions to Bord Gáis Energy. Together we’re helping homes, farms and businesses cut costs, reduce emissions, and transition to cleaner energy.
The Role
Ardrar Ltd, trading as Bord Gáis Energy, and part of the Centrica Group, is seeking a Commercial Solar PV Project Manager to support the next phase of transformation as we accelerate our transition to a more sustainable energy future.
What you’ll be doing
The role involves coordinating multiple commercial solar projects across Ireland from point of sale through to commissioning, ensuring timely delivery, regulatory compliance, high quality standards, and effective stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact and lead the end-to-end delivery of commercial solar PV projects from post-sale through to commissioning
- Conduct site surveys, system design, and manage ESB, planning, and grant applications
- Develop and deliver project installation programmes in line with agreed targets, milestones, timelines, and SLAs
- Prepare, coordinate, and monitor materials and equipment procurement and deliveries to ensure efficient project delivery
- Lead stakeholder engagement across clients, installation teams, vendors, and internal functions
- Collaborate with H&S and Installation Manager to proactively resolve installation challenges and ensure smooth project execution
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, grid connection requirements, and regulatory obligations
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively
- Provide clear and structured project reporting to clients, installation teams, and senior management
- Act as escalation point for operational and technical matters during project delivery
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management or related discipline, or equivalent relevant industry experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial solar PV project coordination or management
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong commercial awareness with a focus on meeting delivery targets and SLAs
- Experience managing multi-stakeholder technical projects
- Knowledge of grid-connected solar PV systems
- Strong organisational and reporting skills
- Full clean driver’s licence
