Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) – Intellectual Disability Services
Location: ID Facilities, Co. Mayo
Pay Rates: Starting from €30 per hour, with enhanced rates available depending on experience and shift type.
We are currently recruiting a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) for Intellectual Disability (ID) services across Co. Mayo. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within residential and day service settings, providing high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health needs.
The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team supporting service users’ wellbeing, independence, and overall quality of life.

Deliver safe, therapeutic, and person-centred nursing care

Support individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or mental health needs

Administer medications and monitor treatment plans as prescribed

Carry out clinical assessments and maintain accurate documentation

Promote independence, dignity, and community participation

Work collaboratively with families, MDTs, and support staff

Respond appropriately to changes in clinical presentation or behaviour

Fully registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) with NMBI
-
Previous experience working in Irish healthcare services is essential

Experience in Intellectual Disability or mental health settings is highly desirable

Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
