Job Description - Aluminium Fabricator (including Trainee Fabricators)

As a fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating aluminium (by means of using pneumatic tools and cutting equipment) to be used in final products, such as residential windows and doors and commercial windows, doors and Facades / Storefronts.

Main responsibilities:
· Fabrication of all aluminium material for projects (and occasionally uPVC material)
· You will operate appropriate equipment to put together aluminium (And occasionally uPVC) structures with a great deal of accuracy and precision.
· You will read and adhere to drawings and sketches re requirements.
· You will take measurements to determine accuracy, where necessary.
· You will determine the appropriate equipment or methods for use based on requirements.
· You will be required to perform tasks with minimum supervision (following training)
· Liaising with Production Supervisor and Factory Manager in relation to current and upcoming manufacturing jobs and the scheduling of these.
· Work to agreed schedules for upcoming manufacturing priorities of work, in conjunction with Factory and Installation Manager.
· Ensuring that your assigned jobs are completed in a timely manner and that quality hasn’t been compromised.
· Use of Trello for logging times spent on manufacturing jobs (following training).
· Ensuring a neat and tidy and safe factory floor. Ensuring orderly manner of stock in Factory and on benches used.
· Training of or delegation of new trainees on the job, imparting best practice at all times, when you are fully trained yourself.
· Regular reporting to Production Supervisor on day-to-day manufacturing operations as required.
· To manage stock control and inventory checks for factory - Notify Production Supervisor if stock or orders are required. (last items used etc)
· Helping with deliveries and delivery checks where required, ensuring correctness or order / delivery and ensuring quality check is also carried out on product (following training).
Occasionally:
· You may need to help with on-site fitting duties or on-site fabrication duties.
Other responsibilities:
- Health and Safety Compliance (See below)
- You must act responsibly and sensibly on all jobs as a representative of Ellipsis Aluminium.
- You will be required to carry out any other reasonable tasks by Ellipsis Management as requested which may include fitting on site, assisting with deliveries and general tidy up of factory.
Health and Safety:
· You, yourself MUST at all times work in a safe manner adhering to relevant health and safety policies, when on site and in factory environment, setting an example to all other staff.
Essential skills / Experience required:
Proficiency in use of power tools such as cordless drills, masonry drills, grinders.
Team player
Good communication skills
Safe pass cert (training will be provided while at Ellipsis where required)
Manual Handling cert (training will be provided while at Ellipsis where required)
Desired Skills/experience required but not essential
- Experience in same or similar field of work (i.e. Carpentry or other metal fabrication work)
- Driving Licence

Pay: €28,957.01-€39,500.00 per year
