This is a full time permanent position based in Greystones Co. Wicklow. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our finance department in various accounting tasks. Key Responsibilities
- Manage debtor collections, including monitoring and escalating overdue accounts. Prepare and communicate client statements, ensuring payment commitments are agreed upon. Investigate and resolve client account queries. Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries related to accounts receivable
- Prepare, verify, and carry out invoicing via electronic processing for multiple entities.
- Processing supplier invoices and preparing electronic payments
- Monthly Supplier reconciliations and follow up on queries
- Assist with preparation of year end management accounts for multiple entities – including control account reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, journal postings and detailed analysis of overheads
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in a timely and accurate manner.
- Liaise with external auditors, accountants, and tax advisors to facilitate audits, reviews, and other financial assessments.
- Utilize Xero Accounting system to process transactions, reconcile accounts, and generate financial reports.
- Provide monthly and quarterly financial reports to directors and monitor actual expenses against budgeted amounts, identifying variances.
- Support ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as assigned by management, contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with year-end account preparation ideal but not vital
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero system preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Have a flexible approach and an ability to work on own initiative.

Pay: €35,000.00-€45,000.00 per year
