About the Role
Glenman Corporation Ltd. requires an experienced Site Engineer to join our team on-site, supporting the successful delivery of our public and private sector construction projects in the West of Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to make a significant impact on high-profile projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Set out works accurately on site using survey equipment (total station, GPS) in line with design drawings and specifications
- Carry out quality control checks and ensure works are constructed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and relevant standards
- Liaise with the site management, design, and commercial teams to ensure works progress in line with the programme and to flag any technical issues or design queries
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors and site operatives to ensure works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required standard
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, as-built drawings, survey data, and material/quality documentation
- Monitor progress on site against the baseline programme and report on any delays, disruptions, or variations
- Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements
Requirements
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in a site engineering role within the construction industry
- Proficiency with setting-out and survey equipment, and relevant software (e.g. AutoCAD, Site 3D)
- Strong working knowledge of construction methods, health and safety regulations, and quality standards
- Good working knowledge of standard forms of contract, particularly Public Works Contracts (PW-CF series), is an advantage
