This is a junior solicitor role providing practical legal support across the business, with a focus on renewable energy and infrastructure projects in Ireland. The role includes drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, advising on legal and regulatory matters, supporting employment law issues, managing legal risks, liaising with external advisers in Ireland and the UK, and assisting with governance, compliance and business initiatives.
Key Accountabilities
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and legal documentation.
- Providing practical, commercially focused legal advice to internal stakeholders.
- Working closely with members of the Senior Management Team on strategic business initiatives and key commercial projects.
- Supporting legal matters relating to renewable energy and infrastructure projects, primarily in Ireland.
- Assisting with employment law matters and related business initiatives.
- Supporting the identification, assessment and management of legal risks across the organisation.
- Liaising with external legal advisers in Ireland and the UK.
- Assisting with dispute management, regulatory matters and governance activities.
- Monitoring legal and regulatory developments impacting the business.
- Contributing to wider risk management and compliance initiatives across the business.
Qualifications
- Qualified Solicitor in Ireland
- Degree in Law (LLB, JD or equivalent).
- Additional qualifications in commercial law, construction law, employment law, corporate governance, or compliance would be advantageous.
- Minimum of 2–5 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in a commercial legal environment, either in private practice or in-house.
- Strong experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts and legal documentation.
- Experience providing practical, commercially focused legal advice to business stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Knowledge of renewable energy, construction, infrastructure, engineering, or project development sectors is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting employment law matters and managing external legal advisers.
- Demonstrable experience identifying, assessing and mitigating legal and commercial risks.
- Experience managing disputes, claims and regulatory matters would be advantageous.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal matters clearly and pragmatically.
