PART TIME WASH UP ASSISTANT REQUIRED FOR OUR STUDENT CAFE IN ATU CASTLEBAR!
O'Hehirs is a well-established, family run business in food and bakery based in our cafe in ATU Castlebar with a chain of Cafes spanning Sligo, Donegal, Mayo, Galway, Longford, and Westmeath and are expanding services and products offered all the time.
The Role:
As a Wash Up Assistant, you'll will play a crucial part in supporting the wider team. Dedicated to maintaining high standards of cleanliness while delivering friendly and efficient customer service. Takes pride in ensuring customers receive their food promptly, the dining area remains clean and welcoming. O'Hehirs is a supportive, friendly, and inclusive working environment where everyone is welcomed, valued, and encouraged to be themselves.
This role works during college term only.
The Shifts:
Mon - Fri, part Time, with weekends and college holidays off
Hours: 11am - 4.30pm
Key Responsibilities:
Keeping the wash-up area clean, tidy, and well organised.
Cleaning floors, work surfaces, storage areas, and customer-facing areas.
Clearing and cleaning tables to maintain a welcoming dining area
Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly
Following all health, safety, and food hygiene procedures
Making teas, can progress to barista training if keen to learn.
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience in a similar role or a kitchen porter in a hotel
Fluent English is not essential, but a basic level of understanding will be required
A friendly, approachable personality with a genuine passion for providing excellent customer service.
Someone who enjoys working as part of a team and brings a positive, enthusiastic attitude to work every day..
Barista training or experience preparing quality coffees and other hot beverages is an advantage.
