We are currently looking for an Afterschool Assistant for our childcare service in Caherlistrane (Donaghpatrick NS, Caherlistrane, Galway)
This is a part-time position: 20 hours per week.
Requirements:
- A minimum of QQI Level 5.
- Experience is preferred but not essential.
- Must have a genuine love for children and implement a child led/play based approach.
- Must work well as part of a team.
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A high level of professionalism is required.
Responsibilities:
- Support children with homework.
- Communicate with parents at drop off / collection.
- Organise games and activities.
- Prepare and serve snacks.
- Supervise indoor and outdoor play.
- Follow health and safety procedures.
- Follow child safeguarding procedures.
