Job Overview
Our company is a family run business with over 25 years experience in the trade. We are based in the East Midlands, UK and due to the number of new upcoming projects in Ireland, we require a Site Foreman, to work alongside our Senior Contracts Manager, on many various projects upcoming in the Dublin area.
In order for you to be selected as a candidate, you must have experience in the shopfitting industry, as well as experience in running medium to large projects within this industry. You must be comfortable with computers, MS Office literate and possess good verbal and written skills as well as hold a full UK driving licence and a valid site pass and site management qualifications.
Duties
- Lead and supervise construction teams on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans and safety regulations
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to guide project execution
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and clients to facilitate smooth operations
- Liaising with the Senior Contracts manager to ensure smooth progression and handover of projects
- Ensuring correct materials are procured for projects
- Monitoring of quality and workmanship onsite
Skills
- Proven background in shopfitting site management with supervising experience in large-scale projects
- Strong knowledge of construction processes such as blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating
- Ability to manage budgets effectively while maintaining quality standards
- Familiarity with contracts administration and change order procedures
- Excellent project scheduling skills with a focus on efficiency and resource optimization
- Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising diverse teams in fast-paced environments
- Willing to work out of hours and travel
- Hold a valid site manager qualification and safepass
