Job Summary
To manage and execute stock transfers between stores and warehouse, ensuring accuracy, product care, and system integrity. The role also supports visual merchandising teams in achieving best-in-class store displays and drives overall stock availability and store performance.
Reports to: Product Manager and Buying Office
Job Description:
Coordinate all inter-store and warehouse stock transfers
Prepare and process transfer requests in line with company systems and procedures
Ensure all items are:
Correctly picked
Properly labelled
Securely packed to prevent damage
Verify incoming and outgoing transfers against:
Transfer manifests
Stock requests
Identify, escalate, and resolve any discrepancies immediately
Liaise with:
Buying team (approvals and stock movements)
Warehouse team (dispatch and receipt)
Store teams (readiness and sign-off)
Ensure all transfers are:
Signed off by Store Manager / Assistant Manager
Accurately recorded in the inventory system
Track and follow up on all pending transfers to ensure timely completion
Maintain accurate documentation and a clear audit trail for all stock movements
Operational Duties
Prepare stock for return to warehouse where required
Ensure all goods are handled with care to protect product quality
Support loading and coordination of transport
Organise back-of-house areas to enable efficient stock movement
Skills:
Strong attention to detail (critical for stock accuracy)
Highly organised with strong planning ability
Effective communicator across multiple departments
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
Must have full clean driving licence
Performance Measures (KPIs)
Transfer accuracy (minimal / zero discrepancies)
Timeliness of transfer completion
Reduction in damaged stock during transfers
