The Opportunity
We are seeking a commercially driven and technically strong Head of Finance to lead our finance and resources function and support the next phase of growth.
This is a key leadership role with broad responsibility across financial control, reporting, international operations, and strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership in Ireland and liaise with Group Finance.
This is an office-based role.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Control & Reporting
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting (FRS 102)
- Manage month-end/year-end close and statutory accounts
- Coordinate annual audit and ensure strong internal controls
- Oversee Group reporting requirements and CRO compliance
Planning & Commercial Insight
- Lead budgeting and rolling forecasts
- Deliver insightful management accounts and variance analysis
- Develop financial models to support expansion, investment, and new offerings
- Partner with leadership on strategy and performance
- Oversight of Purchasing, Stores/Stock Management and Resources, including capital expenditure
International & Operational Finance
- Manage multi-currency operations and FX exposure
- Support international pricing and market expansion
- Ensure compliance with import/export and trade regulations
Cash Flow & Working Capital
- Own cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning
- Optimise working capital and banking relationships
- Support funding and expansion initiatives
Core Finance Oversight
- Oversee payroll review, expenses, and compliance
- Human resource management
- Ensure robust inventory accounting and controls
- Maintain strong tax compliance (corporation tax, VAT, payroll) across jurisdictions
Leadership & Systems
- Lead and develop a small finance team
- Enhance systems, processes, and reporting capabilities
- Support ERP optimisation (SAP Business ByDesign experience advantageous)
Governance & Growth
- Maintain strong financial governance and risk management
- Support board reporting and stakeholder engagement
- Contribute to grants, funding applications, and potential acquisitions
What we’re looking for
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- 5–10+ years’ progressive finance experience, ideally in an SME environment
- Strong technical accounting and financial control background
- Experience in international trade / multi-currency environments
- Commercially focused with strong analytical and modelling capability
- Proven ability to improve systems and scale finance functions
- Confident communicator with leadership experience
