PE & After-School Sport Coach
11-Month Fixed-Term Contract — September to July
Pay: €23,265 base over the 11-month contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 30 hours per week average

We're looking for an experienced, passionate coach to join us as a PE & After-School Sport Coach. You'll inspire children through engaging PE lessons, after-school clubs, and holiday camps, while taking on a genuine hands-on role in how we run and grow the business. Key Responsibilities
Delivery
- PE Curriculum Delivery: Deliver structured PE lessons as our strand-specific coach for the Athletics & Games module.
- After-School Club Coaching: Plan and deliver high-energy, structured multi-sport sessions, introducing children to 10+ sports and developing their Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS).
- Camp Delivery: Deliver and support holiday camps during school breaks.
- Child Development: Adapt activities to different ability levels, promote inclusion, and create a safe, welcoming environment for every child.
- Positive Behaviour & Recognition: Champion sports values like teamwork and effort, recognising progress through initiatives such as “Star of the Day.”
- Communication & Reporting: Liaise professionally with parents, school staff, and colleagues, completing attendance reports, incident reports, and end-of-day handovers.
- Health & Safety: Provide basic First Aid where required and follow safeguarding procedures to protect children's safety and well-being.
Operations
- Customer Service: Respond to and follow up on parent queries in a timely, professional manner.
- Administration: Maintain accurate attendance spreadsheets.
- Continuous Improvement: Review and refine session plans on an ongoing basis.
- Camp Organisation: Prepare attendee lists and coordinate camp logistics.
- Communications: Write termly newsletters and create and maintain email templates.
- Equipment Management: Maintain, organise, and stock-check coaching equipment across all sites.
- Booking System Admin: Manage bookings, registrations, and parent accounts on our booking platform.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience coaching or working with children aged 4–12.
- Full driving licence, or easy access to schools across South Dublin.
- Recognised coaching qualification (NGB or third-level in sport).
- Energetic, reliable, and confident leading group activities and PE lessons.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and professional approach to work.
- Garda Vetting clearance and two references required.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience delivering PE curriculum in a primary school setting.
- Athletics coaching certification.
- Safeguarding training certification.
- First Aid qualification.
- Social media or marketing experience.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT.
