About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of one of our construction clients based in Co. Meath, who are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is an office-based role supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business and working closely with the Office Manager.
Reporting to: Office Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Process supplier invoices and customer billing accurately and on time
- Carry out regular bank and account reconciliations
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with Revenue deadlines
- Assist with month-end and year-end processes
- Liaise with external accountants as required
- Maintain accurate and well-organized financial records
- Provide general finance and administrative support to the office team
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Bookkeeping or Accounts role is essential
- Strong experience with AP, AR, and accounts to trial balance
- Experience preparing VAT returns
- Good working knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Experience in construction or trades is an advantage, but not essential

9:00am – 5:00pm
