Job Description:
Keogh's Crisps are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Operative, at Westpalstown, Oldtown, Co. Dublin. The role involves working on the Quality team checking the quality of our products in line with company standards. You will be working as part of a team in our Crisp Factory, applying practical skills, working quickly, accurately and with excellent attention to detail with full concentration at all times. Reporting to: Quality Assurance Manager
Job Summary:
- Carry out quality checks in accordance with site procedures and product specifications.
- Complete quality records accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor compliance with HACCP, GMP and Food Safety requirements.
- Ensure customer and product specification requirements are achieved on a daily basis.
- Support the maintenance of site standards and ensure all areas remain audit-ready at all times.
- Maintain a good knowledge of product specifications, quality standards and plant procedures.
- Carry out cleaning and sanitation activities within quality areas and assist in maintaining high housekeeping standards throughout the site.
- Verify cleaning standards and report any hygiene concerns.
- Work closely with Production and other departments to promote quality and food safety best practices.
- Actively encourage Food Safety Culture initiatives across all departments.
- Support internal, customer and regulatory audits as required.
- Any other duties as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager.
Key Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Experience in a food environment.
- Ability to learn and understand HACCP principals.
- Good attention to detail is vital.
- Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage others efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to multitask and display good organisational skills.
- Ability to deal with issues of a confidential nature.
- Your own transport.
