Facilities Operative - UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic, Dublin
Location: UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic, Dublin
Job type: Full-time Contract of Employment
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist or carry out general duties, as requested by management.
Build, install and paint cabinets, shelves etc.
Install / repair key locks.
Install / repair hardware.
Repairs to furniture.
Window cleaning.
Landscape maintenance.
Assist in plumbing issues, e.g. Blockages.
Facility repairs to include Paint & plaster repairs.
Collect & Delivery of Clinical waste and Laundry.
Deliver bottled medical gases to departments.
Maintain carpark and its payment stations.
Comply and adhere to all hospital policy and procedures.
All other duties as assigned from the facilities department.
Provide on call support to the UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic (one week every six weeks).
Attend all necessary training provided by the UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic.
Report for duty on time.
Take direction from the manager and team leads.
Facilitate good relations at all times.
Recognise the needs and importance of the Clinics customers and fellow employee’s.
Qualifications & Experience:
Proficient knowledge of trade and handyman skills.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in this or a related role.
Hospital experience is preferred.
Ability to perform general maintenance on buildings and equipment.
Ability to use basic hand and power tools where necessary.
Knowledge of appropriate safety systems and procedures.
PC skills.
Good standard of the English language both oral and written.
Ability to work on their own initiative.
Ability to interact with people at all levels.
Ability to work as part of a team or alone.
