Access Healthcare is looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team in Oranmore, Galway. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a Nursing Home, helping the most vulnerable and those who need it most. The ideal healthcare assistant will have experience in similar settings and have the ability to collaborate with team members. The main duty of the role will be using your experience and healthcare skills to offer service users support and provide the best care possible. Hours:
Days: 08:00-20:00
Nights: 20:00-08:00
Opportunities for morning and evening shifts also.
Pay Rates:
Base: 15.00-20.00 per hour – subject to experience and trainings
Nights/Sundays/Bank Holidays: premium rates

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will:
Assist residents with personal care.
Help residents with mobility.
Serve meals and assist with eating or drinking as needed.
Monitor and record residents’ wellbeing.
Support emotional and social needs – provide companionship.
Report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff.
Follow infection control and safety procedures.
What we’re looking for in a Healthcare Assistant:

QQI Level 5 in Healthcare
-
At least 6 weeks experience in Healthcare in Ireland

Practical Trainings – CPR/First Aid/Patient Moving and Handling (in date)

Up-To-Date HSELand Certificates
