Position Summary:
The Procurement Manager – Laboratory Category is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for laboratory-related goods and services, including reagents, consumables, instruments, and lab services. This role partners closely with Laboratory Operations, R&D, Scientific Affairs, and Quality teams to ensure reliable supply, cost optimization, and compliance within a highly regulated life sciences environment.
The role is Office Hybrid with 60% (3 days a week) in our HQ in Leopardstown, Dublin 18.
What You Will Do:
You will manage day-to-day supply chain and procurement activities, supporting your team to deliver quality outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:

Ensuring the availability of critical lab materials with minimal disruption to operations

Support inventory optimization strategies (e.g., safety stock, consignment, VMI)

Resolve escalations related to quality, delivery, or supplier performance issues including supplier CAPA’s

Managing the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and supplier management.

Developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with company goals and ensure cost savings while maintaining quality standards.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify procurement needs and ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.

Lead RFx processes, supplier selection, and contract negotiations

Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring compliance with contracts.

Monitoring market trends and conducting supplier assessments to ensure competitive pricing and quality.

Ensuring compliance with internal policies, legal regulations, and industry standards throughout the procurement process.

Delice cost savings and cost avoidance to align with the Corporate, line of business and Procurement goals and objectives.
Your Profile:
You will have solid supply chain and procurement experience, with the ability to manage competing priorities and develop your team.
Required qualifications and experience:

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred, with extensive experience in procurement or supply chain management.

5–10+ years of progressive experience in procurement or strategic sourcing

Proven experience in managing procurement operations, including vendor negotiation, contract management, and strategic sourcing.

Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage procurement teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in managing procurement budgets and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to driving efficiency and compliance in procurement operations.

Willingness to travel as required (approximately 10%).
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with global sourcing and supplier networks.

Experience in a laboratory or technical procurement organization.

Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools (e.g., Ariba, Coupa).

Professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.
