Key Responsibilities of this Assistant Manager job include:

Support the Store Manager with the day-to-day running of a busy furniture showroom

Drive a consultative sales culture focused on understanding customer needs and making sales yourself

Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to maximise performance and achieve sales targets

Ensure customers receive an exceptional experience throughout their entire purchasing journey, from initial consultation through to delivery

Monitor and analyse sales performance, implementing strategies to drive growth and improve conversion rates

Support operational processes to ensure the smooth running of the store

Take responsibility for the showroom in the absence of the Store Manager
Skills and Requirements for the Assistant Manager

Strong consultative sales experience with a proven track record of delivering results

Experience leading and developing teams in a target-driven retail environment
-
Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and building long-term customer relationships

Commercially minded with strong sales leadership skills

Operationally savvy with the ability to support back-office and stock management responsibilities

Experience working in a high-volume retail environment is highly desirable

Furniture, homewares, interiors, lifestyle, or premium retail experience would be advantageous
-
Flexibility to work a 5 over 7 roster
