We're looking for a Cheesemonger to join our Knocknacarra counter on a 20+-hour per week contract. No previous experience is needed - just a genuine passion for food, great conversation, and a willingness to learn.
At Sheridans Cheesemongers, we believe selling cheese is about much more than serving at a counter. It's about connecting people with the producers behind the food, sharing stories, recommending pairings, and creating memorable customer experiences.
You'll receive full in-house training, gain hands-on experience with Irish and European artisan food, and have real opportunities for career progression within the company.

Caring for cheese to ensure it is presented and sold at its very best

Maintaining attractive product displays and signage throughout the day

Receiving deliveries and organising stock correctly

Supporting stock rotation and reducing waste

Maintaining food safety standards, HACCP records, and allergen awareness

Keeping counters, fridges, and storage areas clean and well organised

Assisting with seasonal displays, including hampers

Previous retail or food experience is helpful, but not essential

A strong interest in artisan food, cheese, and local producers
