McElhinneys Menswear is looking for an experienced Menswear Suiting & Suit Hire Expert to join our team.
We can offer full-time or part-time hours, depending on the right candidate.
The successful candidate will play an important role across both our Suits Department and Suit Hire Department, helping customers find the perfect suit while ensuring our suit hire service is organised and runs smoothly from booking through to collection and return.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide an excellent 5-star customer service experience to all customers.
- Assist customers with suit selection, sizing, fitting and styling.
- Have a good understanding of menswear tailoring and suit fitting.
- Manage the full suit hire process, including bookings, fittings, alterations, collections and returns.
- Deal confidently and professionally with customers in-store, over the phone and via email.
- Manage customer bookings and appointments accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure all suit hire requirements and customer details are recorded correctly.
- Work closely with customers, colleagues and suppliers where required to ensure a smooth hire experience.
- Maintain a high level of organisation and strong attention to detail, particularly when managing multiple bookings.
- Keep up to date with current menswear trends, styles and tailoring.
- Support the wider Menswear team and work well both independently and as part of a busy team.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience in menswear tailoring, suiting or suit hire, with a strong understanding of fit and sizing.
You will have:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A professional and friendly manner with customers.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Confidence dealing with customers face-to-face, by phone and email.
- The ability to manage multiple bookings and deadlines.
- A genuine interest in menswear, tailoring and current fashion trends.
- The ability to work on your own initiative while also being a strong team player.
- The passion and energy to deliver a high standard of service in a busy retail environment.
