We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and creative Head Chef to lead our busy Rocksalt café kitchen.
About the Role:As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, ensuring consistently high-quality food, maintaining food safety standards, and leading a motivated kitchen team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys creating fresh, seasonal café dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day kitchen operations.
- Plan and develop menus with a focus on quality, freshness, and profitability.
- Prepare and present food to a consistently high standard.
- Manage stock ordering, supplier relationships, and food cost control.
- Ensure full compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
- Train, motivate, and support kitchen staff.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef ready to step up.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- A passion for fresh food and menu development.
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
