Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Applications Engineer to carry out application engineering and component evaluation activities across our range of electronic components and IoT solutions. This is a technically focused, B2B role suited to a candidate with a background in computer science or a related discipline, with the ability to analyse technical specifications, support supplier coordination, and assist engineering customers through the component selection and integration process.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out application engineering activities for electronic components and IoT/connectivity solutions, supporting B2B customers through component selection and product integration stages
- Analyse technical specifications, datasheets, and application requirements to evaluate component suitability and identify appropriate alternatives
- Support the evaluation and integration of IoT and connectivity modules, including software-side configuration and specification review (Quectel, DIGI International, Cactus)
- Coordinate with suppliers and Asia-based manufacturers on technical product queries, integration support and new product introductions (NPI)
- Conduct cross-reference analysis and technical component comparison activities, assessing compatibility across package, pinout, electrical specification and lifecycle criteria
- Support component qualification activities and maintain technical project documentation within internal systems
- Assist in supporting design registration activities and engineering project coordination across customer applications
- Maintain accurate technical records of projects, component specifications, and supplier correspondence
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline
- Ability to read and interpret technical datasheets and component specifications
- Understanding of IoT/connectivity technologies and software-based integration of electronic modules
- Experience with technical documentation, structured problem-solving, and data-driven analysis
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple technical tasks simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical B2B engagement
- Proficiency in working with suppliers and cross-functional teams across different regions
Pay: From €30,000.00 per year
