€18 per hour | Approximately 12 hours per week
Dublin | Fixed-term position
Paid training from September 2026
Main cover period: 28 October 2026 to late March 2027
About the role
Velvet + the Fox and BLANK Canvas are looking for a friendly, creative and reliable person to join our small team.
This is a varied part-time position combining hands-on work in our creative studio with the delivery of prepared after-school activities for primary-school children.
You do not need previous 3D-printing experience. We will provide paid training and approximately seven weeks of supported shadowing before you take responsibility for the role.
We are primarily looking for someone who enjoys making things, is comfortable working with children and can follow a creative process carefully.
Your week
The role includes four after-school classes and approximately eight flexible studio hours each week.
After-school classes take place Monday to Thursday from approximately 2:00–3:00pm across Dublin 7, Stapolin and Portmarnock.
You will use our prepared lesson plans to guide children through fun 3D design and printing projects. All class plans, materials, equipment and training are provided.
Your studio hours can be arranged flexibly and will include:
- Preparing 3D-printed models
- Sanding, priming and painting sculptures
- Preparing prints and materials for children’s classes
- Packaging customer orders
- Operating 3D printers after full training
- Keeping the workspace clean and organised
- Helping with occasional photographs or videos
Who would suit this role?
This position could suit an art or design student, recent graduate, teaching assistant, creative workshop facilitator, maker or anyone who enjoys practical creative work.
You may be a good fit if you are:
- Creative and comfortable working with your hands
- Warm, patient and encouraging with children
- Dependable and able to work independently
- Careful and attentive to detail
- Available Monday to Thursday during after-school hours
- Interested in learning new creative and technical skills
- Available from September 2026 until late March 2027
Experience in art, design, craft, painting, education, childcare or creative workshops would be helpful, but it is not essential.
No previous 3D-printing experience is required.
